Gran Fondo Lake Huron is the annual cycling fundraiser for Saugeen Shores Hospital Foundation, bringing riders, volunteers, families, and supporters together to advance healthcare close to home. Held every third Saturday in August in Southampton, this untimed charity ride features scenic routes for all abilities, from welcoming shorter distances to longer, more challenging rides along the Lake Huron shoreline and surrounding countryside.
Since its beginning, Gran Fondo Lake Huron has grown into a beloved community tradition that requires nearly 200 volunteers each year. Together, riders, donors, sponsors, and volunteers have raised over $2 million in support of local healthcare, helping fund vital equipment, technology, and patient care improvements at Southampton Hospital and across Brightshores Health System.
